BOULDER CITY, Nev. — U.S. Park Rangers want to know what you may know about two men seen in a now-viral video filmed at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

In a Facebook post, the National Park Service said the video is thought to have been recorded on Sunday (April 7, 2024).

In the video, the two men are seen knocking down rock formations at the Redstone Dunes Trail. Officials are looking for anybody who may have been on the trail at about that time.

Or you can submit a tip if you have information about the suspects that can help identify them.

According to the National Park Service, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area became the first national recreation area in 1964. According to the U.S. Department of the Interior, national recreation areas are “lands near large reservoirs that offer visitors a chance to experience water-based outdoor activities.”

These areas also include what the NPS calls “important natural and cultural features.”

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, violating regulations in U.S. national parks and forests, including willful destruction of property or defacing archeological resources, can result in fines and jail time.
