GARDEN CITY, Utah — This weekend is one of Garden City and Bear Lake’s biggest of the year with the annual Raspberry Days celebration taking place from Aug. 3 to Aug. 5.
Garden City Mayor Mike Leonhardt told KSL NewsRadio there are so many reasons why someone wouldn’t want to miss Raspberry Days.
“You know the vendors that we bring in are absolutely amazing,” he said. “They bring in homemade stuff … (and) just all sorts of different things out there.”
Along with this, Leonhardt said Bear Lake is “just a fun place to be.”
“Bear Lake is beautiful,” he said. “It’s busy and crazy up here, but nothing compared to down on the Wasatch Front … We’re up here in the mountains… it’s just an awesome place to be.”
Along with the rodeo on Aug. 4, Raspberry Days offers a wide array of activities from live concerts to a boat parade, and even Zumba classes.
There’s one activity Leonhardt said the community is particularly fond of.
“We love fireworks up here in Bear Lake,” he said.
The main event, the Raspberry Days Festival and Fair will take place Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
