LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Multiple people have been charged in connection with the death of Matthew Perry, the Associated Press reported Thursday.
AP reported five people were charged, including the actor’s assistant and two doctors. Perry died from an accidental ketamine overdose in October 2023.
In a post on X, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California shared a quote from Attorney Martin Estrada that read in part:
“These defendants cared more about profiting off Mr. Perry than caring for his well-being. Drug dealers selling dangerous substances are gambling with other people’s lives over greed.”
He went on to say, “… we will hold drug-dealers accountable for the deaths they cause.”
