All passengers, crew, dead after plane crash in Sao Paulo, Brazil, airline confirms

SAO PAULO, Brazil — The Voepass Linhas Aereas airline has confirmed that 61 people aboard a plane that crashed Friday in a Sao Paulo neighborhood died in the firey crash.
The airline has also updated the number of people on the plane. It was earlier reported that 62 people were aboard.
According to the Voepass Linhas Aereas airline, as reported by the Associated Press, the crash occurred in a residential area.

The plane was destined for Guarulhos, Sao Paulo’s international airport, according to the Associated Press.
The BNO News Agency shared a post on X from the airline, confirming the crash of flight 2283.

Per the Associated Press, a Brazilian television network aired video of a large fire and smoke coming from what GloboNews called “an apparent plane fuselage.”
