Police confirm fatal rollover in Box Elder, car was reportedly stolen

BOX ELDER — A rollover crash in Box Elder County left one man dead Tuesday morning, Utah Highway Patrol confirmed.
At 5:44 a.m., Box Elder Dispatch received a call, reporting a silver Toyota Sequoia in a ditch near milepost 20 on I-84, according to a press release.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers arrived to find the car with intense damage. They said it was found far down an embankment and not visible from the roadway.

UHP said the driver, a 22-year-old man, was ejected from the car during the rollover crash. He was found dead on the scene. UHP says he was the car’s only occupant.
Further investigation showed the car was stolen out of Weber County the previous night. The victim of the crash matched a description of the suspect that reportedly stole the car.
