SALT LAKE CITY — Utah State School Board Member Natalie Cline announced over Facebook Monday that she is running for reelection.
This comes just days after a special board meeting where the school board censured Cline and asked her to resign over a controversial social media post questioning the gender of a high school basketball player.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox also signed a resolution to censure Natalie Cline. The resolution strongly condemns Cline’s post and censures her conduct. The motion passed unanimously by the Senate and almost unanimously by the House (72-2).
Some lawmakers expressed dissatisfaction and advocated for Cline’s impeachment.
