OGDEN, Utah — The FBI arrested an Ogden man on Tuesday on suspicion of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Hal Ray Huddleston, 66, is accused of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder, which is a felony. He also stands accused of several misdemeanors related to entering and remaining in a restricted area.
A press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said Huddleston entered the U.S. Capitol just past 3 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2021.
He left the Capitol building soon after but remained “within the restricted perimeter,” the USAO said.
The USAO said Huddleston later joined a “violent” confrontation between rioters and police. The office alleged that Huddleston fought with officers and helped another rioter push against a police line with a flagpole.
Huddleston is one of many Utahns accused of participating in the Capitol riot.
