Mountain lion sighting reported in Lehi

LEHI, Utah — Monday morning, Lehi City received reports of a mountain lion sighting. As of Monday night, the Division of Wildlife Resources has still not caught it.
One report said it was near Woods Drive. A second report said it was near 800 West and 900 North, per Lehi City’s Facebook post.
Residents have been instructed to stay alert. Drive children to school if possible, or keep an eye on them as they walk.
Lehi City Police are doing extra patrols following the mountain lion sighting reports.
“If you see the mountain lion do not approach it or run from it,” read the post. Report the sighting to Lehi Police at 801-798-5600.
If you see a mountain lion
According to the National Park Service, you should not run from a mountain lion. It may trigger the animal’s instinct to chase.
Instead, stand and face the animal. Maintain eye contact and make yourself look larger. If you are attacked, fight back.
